The good old versatile tinned tomatoes. A staple in many homes. Often I am left with half a tin unused and reaching its spoil within a day or so. Don't waste by cramming more into your recipe or keeping the leftover only to end up being chucked in the bin after spoiling. There is a better way to keep it for your next pizza base, spag bowl or stew. Simply decanter it into a glass bottle (do not leave it in the tin, the acid from the tomatoes reacts with the tin), add a thin layer of oil to the top, done! Longer lasting leftover tinned tomatoes patiently awaiting your next dish!
