Curry flavoured green beans

I never dish this with a meal as i am not fond of green beans. Yet, i make this side dish (or salad) as guests actually enjoy this! Imagine that!


+-1.8kg sliced green beans (cut off edges and discard)

+-750g chopped onion

1 tablespoon salt

1 tablespoon mustard (of choice)

2 tablespoons turmeric

3 tablespoons corn flour

1 tablespoon curry powder

2 spoons vinegar (of choice)

2 spoons white sugar


Mix the beans, and onion in a pot and cover with water.

Boil until soft.

Mix the mustard, turmeric, cornflour, curry, vinegar and sugar in a bowl and add to the beans-onion mixture.

Boil for an additional 4-5 minutes.

Bottle while warm and seal.
