Chicken live pate'

It feels like yesterday that i was watching my mother making my favourite pate'. I was only 12 years old and amazed how she made the perfect chicken liver pate' without following a recipe! That day i realised that great cooking is not following a recipe. Great cooking comes from the heart.

Here is my mother Susan's chicken liver recipe. Learn it by heart!


250g chicken livers

2 boiled eggs grated

1 medium sized finely chopped onion

30ml fresh cream

50g butter

salt and pepper to taste


Fry the chopped onion and butter over a medium head in a pan for about 3 minuted.

Add the chicken liver and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Fold over after about 3 minutes.

Let is cool down.

Add the salt and pepper.

Blend until all the chicken liver has been finely chopped.

Add the egg.

Blend until soft and ready for a spread.
