Three things to do for telling better stories

Use stories to sell your work.

Have an informed opinion. Organise your thinking. Think about things in your life that you know, that are valuable enough to be paid for or that will contribute to the lives of others. Define a structure, build a structure, research. Practice.

Tell 1) a personal story that 2) draws an emotional reaction with 3) a clear take away.

  1. Talk from personal experience, focus on a personal story.

  2. Let people feel something.

  3. Make sure you know what the point is. Write one sentence: One thing i want you to know is [this] - start with the point - and leave out all the details that don’t add value to the point of the story.
