Discover your unique talent.

When someone says to me "I have no talent."  I always respond " I don't believe you.' The thing is I believe everyone of us is born with uniqueness.  I believe that everyone of us is born for a reason.  For a purpose.  We can all bring something unique to this world.  Something that no-one else can do.  All you have to do is find it!  You have to nurture it.  Grow it. I often hear, "Alan, I want to be like you.  Teach me." I simply respond "I never wanted to be me.  Don't try to be like me.  Be the best version of you." You will fail every time you try to be like someone else.  But, you can be a pretty damn good you! Consider these questions when you are looking for your unique talent.

  • How did you like spending time as a child? Run around, build blocks, draw, sing, read, something else?  What excited you?

  • What are you passionate about as an adult?  Positive emotions help develop passion.

  • What do people compliment you on the most?  Sometimes we don't realise we're good at something because we never think about it.  Maybe you can further develop this.

  • What are you naturally good at?  What do you see differently than most people? There could be your talent.

  • What do you find easy that is hard for others?

  • What activities make you lose track of time? An activity that adds value to other people's lives, that helps others, that solves problems for other people.

  • And maybe the most important of all.  Who do you want to help?

Don't allow to be conditioned to just be.  Take action.  Learn something new.  Everyday.  No matter how small.  The ultimate knowledge is self-knowledge.  And learn discipline.  Learn more about yourself.  No one can help you, just you.  Live a life of abundance.  Your choice.
